The most obvious feature of all Emmrod poles is the coil system on the rod-tip. These are solid stainless-steel and built to last. The options are 4,6 and 8 coil, with your 8 coil tip intended for fish up to 2 pound. 7 coil tips are perfect for around the 5 pound mark and the 6 coil is suitable for up to 10 pound, and 4 coil tips just love hookin anything up to 25 pound! This coil, is also the secret to casting your favourite Emmrod just as far as your favourite 6 foot casting rod, except all you need now is a flick of the wrist !

Then you can have the option of the 'twin-tip',,,a genius concept, it makes perfect sense,,,as soon as the longer rod-tip starts to take a full load of strain, the bottom rod-tip, which is shorter and stronger, takes over and can handle plenty of fish fighting action!

Another important component on all Emmrod's is the patented quarter turn locking mechanism between the 'butt' and 'tip'. The rod is pushed into the end of the handle where a spring is compressed allowing the handle to be rotated 90 degrees into locating slots. The spring then pushes the rod into position, locking it into place. There is no 'looseness' between the two components. They simply come together as solid as a single rod.

The connection is very easy, and enables quick changes in rod strength. Invaluable when a school of bigger fish come thru unexpected!! within a few moments, your light set-up can become ready to tackle serious size fish!
